Abstract/short description:

The article relates the history of the workers' movement's resistance to the National Reorganization Process (Proceso de Reorganizacion Nacional) – the name that military dictatorship in Argentine used to refer to itself. The NRP regarded itself as a means for economic improvement; this however did not fully convince the working class. Workers' movement organizations followed immediately the creation of NRP and organized struggle against the new junta. Despite violent repression such as forced disappearances the working class organized strikes and other means of opposing the military leadership.
