The work of the Yale Peruvian Expeditions in the Llaqta of Machupicchu

Abstract
The events and implications of the Yale Peruvian Expeditions (YPE) are discussed through the information contained in publications, documents, fi eld diaries, graphic records and reports of the works executed during 1911 and 1912 in the Llaqta of Machupicchu. Also, the first plan of the excavations that took place during 1912 is presented, this plan has been elaborated based on the fi eld diary of engineer Ellwood Erdis.
