America en el periodo prehispanico y colonial temprano DO - 10.36447/Estudios2014.v33-34.art3 UR - https://estudioslatinoamericanos.pl/index.php/estudios/article/view/85 AB - Churajón (Department of Arequipa), the biggest prehispanic complex of southern Peru, was investigated 1993-2002 and 2011 by the University of Wroclaw and Catholic University Santa Maria of Arequipa. The article presents the results of work done in Corabaya/Tasata Valley and on the north western edge of the complex Churajón where sites of the Andean Preceramic Period have been registered. Among the lithics materials from this area a Fishtail point was reported, characteristic for cultural contexts of the late Pleistocene and Terminal Pleistocene as well as leaf points, scrapers, denticulates tools, and production waste. During excavations of the cave Abrigo III, within a top layer, two bone sculptures imaging the animals head of the family Canidae Canidae were found. ER -
