Short description by Michał GilewskiThe article describes the role women’s organizations in Ecuador in the 90’s in relation to the indigenous and mestizo cultures. Last decade of the 20th century saw a tremendous rise of the number of women organisations. The women organisations can be of various types: informal, religious, government, NGO’s and indigenous. This also relates to different background that women organization activists have – they can come from different classes, have different education and different identities. All this relates with diversity of their actions, functions and aims. ER -
