La necesaria redimensión curricular del Régimen Intercultural Bilingue
Abstract
Abstract/short description
Educación Intercultural Bilingüe (Intercultural Bilingual Education) is a term describing a model of education that can be applied in all societies where two or more cultures and/or languages co-exist. Its aim is to maintain such co-existence and prevent dominancy of one culture or language through adoption of promoting bilingualism and bi-literacy. Such models of education have been adopted by a number of education institutions in Latin American states. Sánchez's article presents a critical evaluation of the model. He presents a number of suggestions on how to improve the functioning of the model.
